What a difference a week makes! A week ago we went to visit Mick with our 10 month old cocker spaniel Murphy.He had been pulling on the lead and sometimes not coming back when called.I had a check chain but obviously hadn't been using it properly and also had the wrong size.Within minutes Mick had showed me how to use it properly and Murphy was walking to heal and realised who was the boss -not him!

Next was recall-I had been panicking when my dog disappeared and running in the same direction as him.Mick showed us calmly to walk in the opposite direction to the dog and use the whistle for recall and again it all clicked within minutes.

A week on and with practice having realised that it was us that needed re-trained, Murphy now is beginning to realise he is not in charge when out for a walk and I feel much more in control of my dog.

It was definitely money well spent and after only one visit things are beginning to fall into place.This one to one seession was so much better than going to dog training classes with 20 dogs in one room for weeks on end.

Mick,
We just want to say a very BIG thank you for all the training tips and help
you gave us with Milo recently. We were also very grateful for the advice
that you gave to us as to how to reinforce our pack leader status. As you
will remember, Milo is a typical playful Labrador pup but his need to
explore was causing us problems with the recall command and keeping him at
heel without pulling on his lead!
Milo was very happy with you from our first appraisal walk with your
beautifully behaved spaniels and they encouraged him greatly to be a good
pack member. The pointers you gave us as to how we should react to his
behaviour have been invaluable.
Following our second (and surprisingly final!) training session we couldn't
believe the consistent change in Milo in such a short space of time! We now
have a dog who is a joy to walk and comes back to us when asked. He walks to
heel with his head held high and keeps checking us for his next command. My
biceps are now getting a well-earned rest from the pulling......... so thank
you very much for that!
We were both so impressed by your training Mick, and are very grateful to
you for the hard work and support via e-mail that have enabled us to have a
contented, happy, balanced and well behaved dog in all situations.
We would have no hesitation recommending you to anyone that may need some
training assistance with their dog.

Thank you so much for all your hard work and for showing us the way to a
very happy pack!

"I would recommend Mick to anyone having problems with their dogs.

Within one session Mick had my 8 month old Springer walking to heel and my Retriever was walking well after five minutes. Before we were unable to walk the dogs on leads, now it is a pleasure to take them out.

They are behaving better in the house as well, although I haven't exactly followed Micks instructions there, they are still on the furniture!! I would also like to say after the session I have recieved follow up emails which I thought was really good as you feel you could contact Mick with any problems. "Hi Mick,

Neil and I cant thank you enough for the help you have gave us with Russ, the difference with him is amazing.

We first met Mick when our Springer Spaniel was 11 months old. Russ is pretty well trained in the house; we always worked hard with him from when he was a puppy, sit, lie, leave, stay etc we had mastered pretty early on. It was when we were outside Russ was a bit of a nightmare; he didn’t listen to a word we said. He would pull constantly and we couldn’t let him off the lead as we had no control over him, he would come back eventually but only when he wanted to. He is one stubborn little spaniel.

Our first meeting with Mick was teaching us how to walk to heel, we were shocked Mick had Russ walking by his side in no time. He taught us his technique and it has been working brilliantly ever since.

Our second and final meeting (to our surprise) was training Russ off the lead. Anytime we did let Russ off I was always in a panic if he would come back and it was never a relaxing walk with the dog. With Mick’s simple but very effective method Russ was running about happy, playing with Mick’s very well behaved spaniel, Charlie, Russ would go and speak to dogs and people but when we called him he would come back to us. I was very relaxed and we were all very happy with how the lesson went.

A week on since our last meeting and Russ is doing brilliantly, I am even confident enough now to take him out, off his lead on my own, it’s now a very enjoyable and relaxing walk. Russ is by no means perfect but all we wanted was a well behaved pet, now we have got that. Me and my husband needed as much training as Russ did.

Mick is amazing and I would recommend him to anyone, it’s also great to know he is always at the end of the phone if we need advice. We just can not believe the difference in Russ in just 2 sessions.
