  Fly fishing Tuition
This is my other passion and over the years I have introduced a lot of my work colleagues and friends to the sport.

For far too long, I have noticed that there were very few facilities in Central Scotland for persons interested in one to one fly fishing tuition. For this reason, I am offering a guiding service to three of the best waters I know, in Central Scotland. All equipment is supplied inclusive of the price, although you are welcome to bring your own if you wish. The fishing is from boats and no rowing will be required as an electric outboard is always available. Gift Vouchers for the guiding service are also available.

I have thirty years of fly fishing experience and have fished in most of the major competitions. I have been lucky enough to get through to the final of the Troutmasters in 1995 and the Peregrine International in 1999. I have been in the Scottish final of, what was known as, the Benson and Hedges, countless times but was never lucky enough to make the National final.
I no longer competition fish, for a lot of personal reasons, but instead try to promote this lovely pastime by introducing those who have an interest in fly fishing to the sport. I endeavour to give a fun day out with, hopefully, a few fish in the bag with easy to follow tuition.

Above : This is the size of fish that you can expect to bump into  fairly regularly at Coldingham loch near Eyemouth.

This fish, along with most others we catch, was returned alive and unharmed. We estimated this prime condition example of a rainbow at seven pounds in weight. Fully finned and full of fight these fish are introduced to the water at average weight of one and a half to two pounds and grow on very fast with the abundance of natural food available to them. This was on the last fishing outing of last season at the back end of October, but we had over thirty fish between us (two anglers) over two days, on dries, buzzers, nymphs and mini lures.
